i remember accidently finding it by randomly using an escape rope

but i didn't do the stats lowering so i got lv 4s and 5s and couldnt get dem to lv 100

@PickUPshow Doesnt matter who you use, as long as you use something that lowers one of the enemy pokemon's stats until it can't be lowered anymore ("it had no effect"). Ex. Growl- Attack / Tail Whip- Defense /String Shot- Speed.

i done that too but my licktunge only grew to lv 2 also i lowerd the wild pokemons stats until they couldnt b lowerd anymore walked into forset caught my licktung battled a wild caterpie changed pokemon to pikachu killed the caterpie and it said liktung grew to lv 2 help

In order to get a Pokemon to jump from level 1 to level 100, the Pokemon must get some experience, but NOT ENOUGH TO LEVEL UP. If they don't get enough EXP to grow to level 2, for some reason they then jump to level 100.

I think that's correct, anyways.

This is a rom that works with the gameboy/gameboy advance emulator. It is an exact copy of the game for the handheld. You can do anything in both of my videos on the original games if you have them

The thing that determines what pokemon you get is the "special" stat that the last encountered pokemon has because of some hole in the programming or something very very fun to mess with

on the n64 attatchment, my brothers and i used a similar tactic with one of the gamblers, except we never used escape ropes we just used fly, and with this certain trainer we were able to get a mew to pop up right before lavender town

there is nothing modified about any of my roms there are exact duplications of the gb games original, so you can do this on the handheld, the items and stuff were just filler to take up time.

After each of the glitches that i found,

i searched the entire kanto map,

looking to see if there were more than one area for each glitched trainer,

and there are only the specified areas that i show.

Well, you can perform the start button glitch with trainers that are off screen, you can tell because theres a small bit of time before they appear when they appear on screen. So there's not glitches trainer, just one that's place perfectly. Too bad theres only one in the forest!

Lol well the game or emulator tries to load the data for the battle,

but since you used an escape rope (or teleport or fly where permitted) it forces the game to not use those codes.

And certain actions in the various games allow for the glitches to come into affect.

I found it out, because i knew about the trainers that are off screen causing glitches,

so i searched for the trainers and found 5/6 in red and blue and only 1 on yellow.

The items that you can find work on red/yellow/blue, and leveling a pokemon from lvl 1-100 instantly works on them too, but you can only use this glitch in yellow, because that trainer isn't in the rest of the games. If you want me to make a video with alot of glitched trainers for red/blue let me know.
